PARIS
ARC de SEINE
30 / 09 / 2020
This competition was based on the sustainable development of a vision for a green network and community housing scheme located in Saint-Denis, north of Paris. The aim of this project was to celebrate and respect the multi-cultural diversity of the people of Saint-Denis and their appreciation for nature, heritage and culture.
An introduction to a Green Network that is sensitive to the existing ecosystem and surrounding wilderness through permaculture systems. Connections between the Seine River and Canel de Saint-Denis were created. Integrating new systems such as rainwater catchment, bicycle and pedestrian movement, electric vehicle charging stations, waste reduction, renewable energy and waste to energy plants.
Our building concept speaks to the integrated aesthetics of the old and new, holistically achieving spaces that speak to the synergy of sustainability.
